Child Care Works hosts a monthly meeting to inform providers regarding current child care issues and policy proposals. The meetings are held in the evening at various locations around the Twin Cities area. For the date and location of the next meeting, check out Child Care Works website.
These events are organized to give providers opportunities to connect with peers for the purpose of developing relationships, sharing experiences, and providing support. The goal is to provide an informal gathering where you can spend time with people who understand what you do and all the joys and frustrations of your day.
We would like to encourage Neighborhood Groups or any individual provider who is interested to arrange a time and place for a Provider Night Out. It would be great to see these happening regularly throughout Hennepin County. We anticipate that 5-10 providers would attend. These can be set up at restaurants, parks, private homes, bowling alleys or anywhere you find convenient.
Once you select a time and place, notify HLFCA and we will help get the word out. We will post the information on our website and send an email to our members. You must then accept RSVPs and attend as the hostess for the evening, but no other preparation is needed.
